I must admit I was very nervous about the surgery and although I was assured it would be pain free and over quickly, I was still sure it would be otherwise. I was proven wrong. It really was as described, pain free & over sooner than expected. The way this medical practice has been developed to assure a personalized method of patient care and support sets a gold standard for how health services should be administered. I offer my sincere appreciation of Dr. Vrabec. I thank him for choosing Michigan and Rochester to set up his practice. He has provided us with his talents and skills both medically and in thoughtfully assembling a kind, patient and dedicated support team. My family has been receiving vision care from Dr. Vrabec for over 3 years. When it came time for my cataract surgery, I knew that I wanted to have the procedure done by Dr. Vrabec because of his excellent care. He is a highly skilled surgeon who is compassionate and committed to excellence for his patients. He is focused on the very best patient outcomes which is evident from the minute you meet him and through the whole surgical and post-op process. On the day of the surgery, I felt very anxious, but Dr. Vrabec came into the preparation area and talked with me which brought me comfort. Dr. Vrabec has a state-of-the-art surgical center. The pre-op area offers relaxing massage chairs and a calming environment. He and his staff will make you feel at ease. They truly are professionals. The surgery seemed like it was over in just minutes. I had no pain and felt at ease. I left the surgery center with no heavy patches over my eye – just a pair of dark glasses because my eyes were dilated. All of that anxiety was something that my mind created because of the unknown, but in reality, it was really a comfortable experience. While he was doing the procedure, I was awake and was following his calming voice directions. The next morning, I had my follow-up appointment. He checked my eyes and let me know that I had achieved 20/20 vision in my left eye. I went from complete blurred vision to crystal clear vision in less than 24 hours. Truly remarkable! A few months later, I had the same procedure done on my right eye with the same results – 20/20 vision and no more glasses for my far vision! I highly recommend Dr. Vrabec and his staff at Clear Vision Center. You will feel it’s one of the best decisions you have ever made. Dr. Vrabec gave me back my vision with amazing clarity. This place takes really good care of their patients and does the best they can to quell any anxiety you may have. I went in for laser eye surgery, whichever... read more they determined was best, and we went with Lasik. The consultation is free and they really take their time running all sorts of tests and explaining the pros and cons of the different surgeries to you and why people might choose one or the other. they spent over an hour running tests and measurements on my eyes before they told me what was best. The actual surgery was quick and painless and not stressful in the slightest. They have you relax in heated massage chairs before and after. They give you all the eye drops you need, both medicated and regular. They provide you with the sunglasses and sleep glasses and it's all included in the cost of the surgery, no going to the pharmacy after with a list of things to buy. The recovery is not painless and don't let anyone tell you otherwise, they are honest here and give you vallium and tell you to sleep through the discomfort afterwards. I couldn't sleep more than a couple hours but the eye drops and keeping everything dark helped. After about 6 hours my eyes were fine, just sensitive. I had my next day follow up this morning and my eyes are already doing pretty great and they said they will continue to improve over the next week. I have no issues with my closeup vision as the surgery only affects distance, my distance vision is already almost 20/20 and I was able to drive to work and work at my computer just fine. I have my sunglasses with me in case my eyes start to get tired.
