I had to sit and think about it before I committed to having the cataract surgery, I was told that the testing was good for six months however, when I went to make the appointment four months later, they told me I had to redo the testing due to a new government rule. I asked if I would be grandfathered in and they said no, I would have to complete the testing again before having the surgery scheduled. I immediately got off the phone with them and did a Google search and five minutes later was on the phone with Clear Vision. I am so happy I chose to go to this office with Dr Vtabec and his staff. From the first moment I felt like a person and not just a number the whole staff is extremely caring, attentive and knowledgeable and I never felt rushed to make any decisions When I had told him of my previous experience and about the new government law requiring less than four months lapsing between testing and surgery, they had never heard of that. And the icing on the cake this whole procedure was going to be $1300 less than where I was originally scheduled to go. When it came time for my cataract surgery, I knew that I wanted to have the procedure done by Dr. Vrabec because of his excellent care. He is a highly skilled surgeon who is compassionate and committed to excellence for his patients. He is focused on the very best patient outcomes which is evident from the minute you meet him and through the whole surgical and post-op process. On the day of the surgery, I felt very anxious, but Dr. Vrabec came into the preparation area and talked with me which brought me comfort. Dr. Vrabec has a state-of-the-art surgical center. The pre-op area offers relaxing massage chairs and a calming environment. He and his staff will make you feel at ease. They truly are professionals. The surgery seemed like it was over in just minutes. I had no pain and felt at ease. I left the surgery center with no heavy patches over my eye – just a pair of dark glasses because my eyes were dilated. All of that anxiety was something that my mind created because of the unknown, but in reality, it was really a comfortable experience. While he was doing the procedure, I was awake and was following his calming voice directions. The next morning, I had my follow-up appointment. He checked my eyes and let me know that I had achieved 20/20 vision in my left eye. I went from complete blurred vision to crystal clear vision in less than 24 hours. Truly remarkable! A few months later, I had the same procedure done on my right eye with the same results – 20/20 vision and no more glasses for my far vision!
