I finally decided to look into it and after much searching and Googling, I found Dr. Joshua Vrabec at Clear Vision Center in Rochester, Mi. who was very highly rated. During my first consultation at his spotless office and surgery center and interacting with his very accommodating and friendly staff before I even met with Dr. Vrabec, I started to think maybe I could go through with it. When meeting with the doctor, I found him to be very professional and informative. Although i initially went in to see about getting Lasik done, he told me about Custom Lens Replacement with PanOptix. With this procedure, I would have corrected vision for both reading and distance, something that Lasik does not do. You basically have to choose one or the other. Based on his recommendation, I choose to go with custom lens replacement. On surgery day I was, of course, very nervous. From the time I walked in the door, the staff, with their calmness and professionalism, did a lot to put me at ease. Then, when actually going into the surgery room, Dr. Vrabec, with his quiet confidence.and great communication skills, I realized I had made a good decision choosing him. There was no pain involved and he told me everything he was doing as he did it. Here I am, a day after my second eye was done, and I am seeing 20/20 with both eyes and can read and drive without glasses. I highly recommend Dr. Vrabec and Clear Vision Center.
