I was skeptical for years and very anxious, but from the initial evaluation visit and just talking with Dr. Vrabec, it made me feel much more at ease and I knew I was making the right decision. The surgical center is beautiful, and the “spa” waiting area is a very calming environment with reclining massage chairs to relax in prior to the surgery and right after as well. The entire staff was amazing, from the moment I was greeted at the reception desk, to the surgical team throughout the surgery process, and post-op. They all made me feel welcome and helped to ease the anxiety. Everyone really seems to enjoy what they do and very eager to help. It has truly been life changing to not have to worry about the hassles that comes with wearing glasses. Not to mention I now have better than 20/20 vision! There are many life changing moments when you reach the age of 60. Families, grandchildren, long careers, health issues and impending retirement. When you've been basically blind, tied to... read more glasses which have over time become less and less effective, the thought of being able to see with any level of clarity becomes more of a pipe dream. Eyes become worse. Prescription glasses become less and less effective and twice as costly. Personally, I resigned myself to being essentially blind within the next several years of my life. A torn retina in Sept of 22 and the rapid aaceleration of cataracts brought on by my retinal detachment surgery made my already horrible vision significantly worse. When i picked up the phone and called Clear Vision it was basically my last ditch effort to save my vision. What i experienced after that call has been nothing short of a miracle. Not only was the staff literally amazing, which I can not stress enough, but I'm typing this, glasses free 2 weeks after surgery with 20/25 vision that is only improving every day! I was blind in the eye I'm now 20/25 in!!!! I'm so incredibly grateful and super excited that the last 20 or so years of my life will be glasses free, with the best vision I have had, even with glasses, in my entire life. (Got my first set when I was 5 years old.). Super emotional for me. Everyone was amazing! They corrected my cataracts and put in these new lenses in my eyes that have totally corrected my vision! Everyone was... read more kind, patient, and walked me through the entire process so I never felt nervous or unsure. Dr. Vrabec is seriously one of a kind. It is really hard to find a doctor who genuinely cares about his patients the way he does. He explained everything in a way that actually made sense and never rushed through anything. You can just tell he loves what he does and wants the best for every person who walks through that door. After the procedure, I went home and took a four hour nap. When I woke up and opened my eyes, I could see. Not just kind of see, but really see. I actually cried. It is such an emotional feeling to open your eyes and not reach for your glasses out of habit. I do not have to worry about whether I remembered them or where I set them down. I do not have to worry about struggling to see while driving at night. It feels like a whole new world. It is also a huge relief to not have to worry about my glasses anymore. As a parent and a college student, I am constantly on the go. I already have so much to think about, and just knowing I do not have to stress about my vision every day or in urgent situations is unbelievable.
