There are many life changing moments when you reach the age of 60. Families, grandchildren, long careers, health issues and impending retirement. When you've been basically blind, tied to... read more glasses which have over time become less and less effective, the thought of being able to see with any level of clarity becomes more of a pipe dream. Eyes become worse. Prescription glasses become less and less effective and twice as costly. Personally, I resigned myself to being essentially blind within the next several years of my life. A torn retina in Sept of 22 and the rapid aaceleration of cataracts brought on by my retinal detachment surgery made my already horrible vision significantly worse. When i picked up the phone and called Clear Vision it was basically my last ditch effort to save my vision. What i experienced after that call has been nothing short of a miracle. Not only was the staff literally amazing, which I can not stress enough, but I'm typing this, glasses free 2 weeks after surgery with 20/25 vision that is only improving every day! I was blind in the eye I'm now 20/25 in!!!! I'm so incredibly grateful and super excited that the last 20 or so years of my life will be glasses free, with the best vision I have had, even with glasses, in my entire life. I have had to wear contact lenses or glasses for over fifty years. I had always been interested in Lasik surgery but could never get up the nerve to have... read more the procedure done. I finally decided to look into it and after much searching and Googling, I found Dr. Joshua Vrabec at Clear Vision Center in Rochester, Mi. who was very highly rated. During my first consultation at his spotless office and surgery center and interacting with his very accommodating and friendly staff before I even met with Dr. Vrabec, I started to think maybe I could go through with it. When meeting with the doctor, I found him to be very professional and informative. Although i initially went in to see about getting Lasik done, he told me about Custom Lens Replacement with PanOptix. With this procedure, I would have corrected vision for both reading and distance, something that Lasik does not do. You basically have to choose one or the other. Based on his recommendation, I choose to go with custom lens replacement. On surgery day I was, of course, very nervous. From the time I walked in the door, the staff, with their calmness and professionalism, did a lot to put me at ease. Then, when actually going into the surgery room, Dr. Vrabec, with his quiet confidence.and great communication skills, I realized I had made a good decision choosing him. There was no pain involved and he told me everything he was doing as he did it. Here I am, a day after my second eye was done, and I am seeing 20/20 with both eyes and can read and drive without glasses. I highly recommend Dr. Vrabec and Clear Vision Center.

I like the fact that he is the only doctor in his practice so nobody else messes with any of his equipment so you never hear him say oh so and so moved it or messed with it or just a minute I've got to adjust this so I would recommend anybody to go see him.

My vision is better than when I had my contacts, they said I got 20/15 vision just a day later! Even the same day I was able to see- no pain at all! The actual surgery was quick and painless and they made sure I was super comfortable. Couldn’t recommend this place and Dr. Vrabec more!
