I finally decided to look into it and after much searching and Googling, I found Dr. Joshua Vrabec at Clear Vision Center in Rochester, Mi. who was very highly rated. During my first consultation at his spotless office and surgery center and interacting with his very accommodating and friendly staff before I even met with Dr. Vrabec, I started to think maybe I could go through with it. When meeting with the doctor, I found him to be very professional and informative. Although i initially went in to see about getting Lasik done, he told me about Custom Lens Replacement with PanOptix. With this procedure, I would have corrected vision for both reading and distance, something that Lasik does not do. You basically have to choose one or the other. Based on his recommendation, I choose to go with custom lens replacement. On surgery day I was, of course, very nervous. From the time I walked in the door, the staff, with their calmness and professionalism, did a lot to put me at ease. Then, when actually going into the surgery room, Dr. Vrabec, with his quiet confidence.and great communication skills, I realized I had made a good decision choosing him. There was no pain involved and he told me everything he was doing as he did it. Here I am, a day after my second eye was done, and I am seeing 20/20 with both eyes and can read and drive without glasses. I highly recommend Dr. Vrabec and Clear Vision Center.

You go through a series of exams prior to seeing Dr. Vrabec, and it was easy peasy! His staff is beyond knowledgeable! Once I met with the Dr., it was determined that I needed cataract surgery—-and he assured me it was not bad. I schedule the surgery with Diana, and wow, she was so assuring and easy to work with. Once I scheduled it, I got to his office and the surgery was done in less than 5 minutes! No IV’s, no surgery center- all in his office and in an out in just a couple hours! Dr. Vrabec is an amazing surgeon, and his staff is top notch! He listens to your concerns and reassures you that everything is fine! My eyes are healing nicely, and I barely feel that scratchy feeling. I was so happy when I learned that I didn’t have to go to a surgical facility, which only adds stress and time. I’ve been to at least 3 different ophthalmologist’s offices over the past few years. When I say that Clear Vision has state of the art equipment, I know what I am talking about. From my very first appointment, I knew I was in great hands. Dr. Vrabec is very skilled in his field. From his high tech equipment to his surgical capabilities. Added bonus, this doesn’t mean that you will pay less by going somewhere else. Also, he listens to you, takes his time explaining what you need to know, and has a wonderful bedside manner. His entire staff also carry the same disposition. I loved the fact that as he performed my surgery, he explained to me step by step what he was doing. I was somewhat sedated and my eyes numbed very well. I didn’t feel any pain whatsoever. I was relaxed and knew that I was in good hands. With any type of eye surgery, you will feel a little pressure or cool liquids. For that matter, he kept me calm by telling me just prior to feeling what is to be expected. His voice was calm and steady, just as his hands. Nothing caught me off guard. I hold Dr. Vrabec and his staff in high regard ❣️
