My family has been receiving vision care from Dr. Vrabec for over 3 years. When it came time for my cataract surgery, I knew that I wanted to have the procedure done by Dr. Vrabec because of his excellent care. He is a highly skilled surgeon who is compassionate and committed to excellence for his patients. He is focused on the very best patient outcomes which is evident from the minute you meet him and through the whole surgical and post-op process. On the day of the surgery, I felt very anxious, but Dr. Vrabec came into the preparation area and talked with me which brought me comfort. Dr. Vrabec has a state-of-the-art surgical center. The pre-op area offers relaxing massage chairs and a calming environment. He and his staff will make you feel at ease. They truly are professionals. The surgery seemed like it was over in just minutes. I had no pain and felt at ease. I left the surgery center with no heavy patches over my eye – just a pair of dark glasses because my eyes were dilated. All of that anxiety was something that my mind created because of the unknown, but in reality, it was really a comfortable experience. While he was doing the procedure, I was awake and was following his calming voice directions. The next morning, I had my follow-up appointment. He checked my eyes and let me know that I had achieved 20/20 vision in my left eye. I went from complete blurred vision to crystal clear vision in less than 24 hours. Truly remarkable! A few months later, I had the same procedure done on my right eye with the same results – 20/20 vision and no more glasses for my far vision! This place takes really good care of their patients and does the best they can to quell any anxiety you may have. I went in for laser eye surgery, whichever... read more they determined was best, and we went with Lasik. The consultation is free and they really take their time running all sorts of tests and explaining the pros and cons of the different surgeries to you and why people might choose one or the other. they spent over an hour running tests and measurements on my eyes before they told me what was best. The actual surgery was quick and painless and not stressful in the slightest. They have you relax in heated massage chairs before and after. They give you all the eye drops you need, both medicated and regular. They provide you with the sunglasses and sleep glasses and it's all included in the cost of the surgery, no going to the pharmacy after with a list of things to buy. The recovery is not painless and don't let anyone tell you otherwise, they are honest here and give you vallium and tell you to sleep through the discomfort afterwards. I couldn't sleep more than a couple hours but the eye drops and keeping everything dark helped. After about 6 hours my eyes were fine, just sensitive. I had my next day follow up this morning and my eyes are already doing pretty great and they said they will continue to improve over the next week. I have no issues with my closeup vision as the surgery only affects distance, my distance vision is already almost 20/20 and I was able to drive to work and work at my computer just fine. I have my sunglasses with me in case my eyes start to get tired.

First day post surgery my vision was 20/15 (this is even better than 20/20) which is one of the best possible outcomes you can ask for. To have my cataracts removed, and my eye lenses Replaced, they started with my right eye. And gave me Valium before the actual surgery. Although I didn’t feel any different,... read more they took me into the operating room and started the operation, which I could almost feel every little bit of it! But doctor vrabec Was extra gentle and gave me what he said was mass doses of numbing drops. Approximately five times with the normal person would need. My site in that I was almost 2020 immediately after the surgery. But because my prescription for my eyes was so strong., Because my eyes were so bad. I was not able to drive myself to the check up appointment the next morning. I was able to get a ride and once I was there, he felt great concerned that I was not able to drive, and set me up with a contact lens for the left eye which greatly! Improve my vision to be able to actually grab a door knob since where I’m stepping, and where the floor or stairs were at. He takes great care and trying to make you comfortable, and happy. I went back one week later to have surgery done on the left eye. Which they gave me the same relaxer before surgery that they did the first time and found that my body does not metabolize it somehow. So they gave me a different pill, which kind of put me out there in La La Land and I felt very comfortable this time going into surgery. While in surgery, I did not feel a thing except for a little bit of fluid running down the left side of my cheek, and again after the surgery that I was about 2020. And the next day when I had my check up, I was actually able to drive myself. I felt very comfortable being able to use stairs driving or whatever I needed to do for my personal self. I will highly recommend Doctor Vrabec To anyone that was considering cataract removal along with upgraded lens installed. I’ve been as blind as a bat since I can remember when I was in kindergarten. I am two days out of surgery on the left, which was the second eye, and I am amazed! At how well I can see. I do feel I probably will need readers forextremely short distance, but my vision is at least 1000 times better than it was. so if you think you need a new pair of glasses, ask your optometrist what they feel about a cataract in your eye, that is how mine all started. My optometrist hooked me up with Doctor Vrabec and his team. And now, unfortunately, I won’t have to go back to see her for a pair of glasses. All of the team at the Clear Vision Center are extremely professional, courteous, and go the extra mile for your well-being and make you feel comfortable. If you think you need corrective eye surgery, I think you would be missing out if you didn’t at least schedule a consultation visit with the Clear Vision Center.
