I have had to wear contact lenses or glasses for over fifty years. I had always been interested in Lasik surgery but could never get up the nerve to have... read more the procedure done. I finally decided to look into it and after much searching and Googling, I found Dr. Joshua Vrabec at Clear Vision Center in Rochester, Mi. who was very highly rated. During my first consultation at his spotless office and surgery center and interacting with his very accommodating and friendly staff before I even met with Dr. Vrabec, I started to think maybe I could go through with it. When meeting with the doctor, I found him to be very professional and informative. Although i initially went in to see about getting Lasik done, he told me about Custom Lens Replacement with PanOptix. With this procedure, I would have corrected vision for both reading and distance, something that Lasik does not do. You basically have to choose one or the other. Based on his recommendation, I choose to go with custom lens replacement. On surgery day I was, of course, very nervous. From the time I walked in the door, the staff, with their calmness and professionalism, did a lot to put me at ease. Then, when actually going into the surgery room, Dr. Vrabec, with his quiet confidence.and great communication skills, I realized I had made a good decision choosing him. There was no pain involved and he told me everything he was doing as he did it. Here I am, a day after my second eye was done, and I am seeing 20/20 with both eyes and can read and drive without glasses. I highly recommend Dr. Vrabec and Clear Vision Center.

I knew, that when it came time for me to get my eyes taken care of, I would not subject myself to that assembly line mentality. Dr. Vrabec and all of his staff were so friendly, welcoming and took the time to answer all my questions and help me weigh all my options. I never once felt rushed or guilted into picking a certain option for my eye care. I would 100% recommend that you check this office out and at least get an initial exam done. I was skeptical for years and very anxious, but from the initial evaluation visit and just talking with Dr. Vrabec, it made me feel much more at ease and I knew I was making the right decision. The surgical center is beautiful, and the “spa” waiting area is a very calming environment with reclining massage chairs to relax in prior to the surgery and right after as well. The entire staff was amazing, from the moment I was greeted at the reception desk, to the surgical team throughout the surgery process, and post-op. They all made me feel welcome and helped to ease the anxiety. Everyone really seems to enjoy what they do and very eager to help. It has truly been life changing to not have to worry about the hassles that comes with wearing glasses. Not to mention I now have better than 20/20 vision! I have been told for many years I was not a candidate for contacts, laser, lasik or other corrective measures. This all changed recently. I am only three days out from surgery on both eyes and I am discos new world ! I can read, see things at a distance and close up, with no clouding. And I have yet to have them actually fine tuned ! I would highly recommend the Clear Vision Center and Dr Vrabec to anyone with eye issues. I even spoke with other eye centers and doctors, and they recommended him! Facility is easy to find with ample parking. Appointment started on time. Employees are helpful and friendly. Doctor took her time and explained things.
